-Known issue: Incompatibility with WindowBlinds 3.0 to 3.5

There is a known incompatibility between WindowBlinds and all our products (except Juggle Mouse). The problem has been identified on 10/30/2002; a workaround is available.

The incompatibility will occur if you use the following software components:

  • Windows XP SP1 (there were reports of problems with other versions of Windows)
  • WindowBlinds 3.0 to 3.5 - the problems doesn't occur under WindowBlinds 4.0 or higher
  • All our products (except Juggle Mouse)

What happens

Impossibility to configure or access any of our software via the Integrator. For example, if you double-click the Integrator and click "Main Menu" to configure AntiCrash, the Integrator will close and AntiCrash won't load.


Fixing the problem

Because of the nature of the problem, the only way to fix it is to setup WindowBlinds to ignore our products. To do so, please follow the instructions:

- Open the Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel. Then, open Display and click on the "Appearance" tab.
- Click on WindowBlinds.
- Click Per Application.
- Click Add per application setting, then choose "Select from disk".
- Select all Dachshund products you might have; by default, they are installed in C:\Program Files\Dachshund Software.
- Under Total Exclusion, check "Ignore this application and do not skin it".
